OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety and Health Course
Course Description
This course is intended to provide a variety of awareness training on construction safety and health topics. The course is presented to employees and therefore places an emphasis on identifying common hazards in the construction industry as well as avoidance, control and prevention. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive an OSHA Construction Safety and Health 10-Hour card.

OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety – Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry Course
Course Description
This course for private sector personnel covers OSHA‘s policies, procedures and standards as well as construction safety and health principles. Topics include scope and application of the OSHA construction standards. Special emphasis is placed on those areas that are most hazardous, using OSHA standards as a guide. Minimum contact hours:30
All participants must bring a current copy of the OSHA construction regulations, 29 CFR 1926, to the course.
Asbestos Training Class IV OSHA and AHERA Awareness (4-hour course)
Course Description
Attendees will learn how to identify suspect asbestos-containing materials, respond to asbestos emergencies, recognize asbestos hazards, and prevent exposure to themselves and building occupants.
The class satisfies the AHERA and OSHA Class IV requirements for training employees who are likely to come into contact with, but do not disturb asbestos containing materials.
Who Should Attend: Construction, building maintenance and janitorial personnel who work in commercial buildings and schools and who may come into contact with asbestos-containing materials.

HAZWOPER 40 Hour Course
Course Description
HAZWOPER 40 is required for workers that perform activities that expose or potentially expose them to hazardous substances.
This course is specifically designed for workers who are involved in clean-up operations, voluntary clean-up operations, emergency response operations, and storage, disposal, or treatment of hazardous substances or uncontrolled hazardous waste sites. Topics include protection against hazardous chemicals, elimination of hazardous chemicals, safety of workers and the environment and OSHA regulations. This course covers topics included in 29 CFR 1910.120.
Note: Trainees must have additional hands-on training in the donning, doffing, and use of the Personal Protective Equipment required for their jobsite(s) in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.120.
Workers must also have 40 hrs of initial training before they may enter the site and at least three days of actual field experience under a trained, seasoned supervisor. The three days field experience under a trained, experienced supervisor is the responsibility of the student employer or potential employer.
HAZWOPER 8 Hour Course
Course Description
This course meets the requirements in OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 for eight hours of annual refresher training for workers at hazardous waste sites. This course is designed for general site workers who remove hazardous waste or who are exposed or potentially exposed to hazardous substances or health hazards. Topics include HAZWOPER regulations, safety and health plans, hazardous chemicals, safety hazards, air monitoring, medical surveillance, site control, decontamination, personal protective equipment, and respiratory equipment.
CanAm Environmental Safety Education Programs will be offered upon request for class sizes of 5 or more.
